This is the seventh in the taegeuk forms. The word Chil is the number 7. Jang translates as chapter. "Chapter 1 of taegeuk. Each taegeuk is represented by a trigram. Trigrams are divination symbols. Symbols respresenting the concept of Keon (beginning of the creation of all things). The first two turns are perfromed by pivoting in-place. The final turn by moving the lead foot. Kukkiwon teaches that this poomsae should be perfromed with unyielding movements like a mountain.
